John 16: 12-15
Jesus said to his disciples: "I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now. But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth. He will not speak on his own, but he will speak what he hears, and will declare to you the things that are coming. He will glorify me, because he will take from what is mine and declare it to you. Everything that the Father has is mine; for this reason I told you that he will take from what is mine and declare it to you."
Dawg's Thought:
Today's prayer intention - for those who are preparing for marriage.
Come Holy Spirit, Spirit of truth, and guide us to all truth.
What about guiding us to prosperity?
What about guiding us to knowledge and wisdom?
What about guiding us to peace?
If where You guide us is to truth, then it must be where we need to be guided. Knowing that You do the will of the Father, I can know that the Father's will is found in the truth. It is not found in Your gifts, such as knowledge and wisdom. Yet, those gifts may come forth from where You guide us.
In my day, then, I pray that you help me to love the truth and to defend the truth because it is You who lead me there. If it is You who lead me, then in seeking the truth and defending the truth I work as one with You Who guides us to all truth.
