1 Timothy 4:12-16
Beloved: Let no one have contempt for your youth, but set an example for those who believe, in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity. Until I arrive, attend to the reading, exhortation, and teaching. Do not neglect the gift you have, which was conferred on you through the prophetic word with the imposition of hands by the presbyterate. Be diligent in these matters, be absorbed in them, so that your progress may be evident to everyone. Attend to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in both tasks, for by doing so you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for a special intention.
I apologize if over the past few days the readings have been late or haven't gone out. I'm battling a cold and I'm trying to get as much rest as I can. Thanks for understanding.
I know for myself that I need to strive to live a holy life. After reading through today's reading a second time, I know that there is so much more I need to do in order to live according to how God has called me to live.
The scripture readings should be something that challenges us and calls us to holiness. It's interactive if we allow it to penetrate our souls.
Today, be challenged by the Word of God spoken so that we may grow in holiness through obedience. Take care and God Bless.
