Ezekiel 34: 11

For thus says the Lord GOD: I myself will look after and tend my sheep.

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for friends and family that you know who has fallen away from the faith.

The first reading from today is actually Ezekiel 34: 1-11... just FYI.

Can you imagine if a sheep got lost in the city one day? How would the sheep react? Where would it find food? What would happen when the sheep tried to cross the street? This little lost sheep would feel lost and alone. To survive, the sheep would do things that a sheep were never made to do.

I think about myself when I'm close to God. I think of myself when I'm far from prayer. I act a lot like a lost sheep, lacking any confidence because my confidence relies on God alone. By myself, because of Original Sin, I am weak. Through Christ, The Good Shepherd, I no longer have to rely on my weakness but His mercy and providence. I know this because I place my trust that the Word of God is truth, and His words for us today are: I myself will look after and tend my sheep. Take care and God Bless.
