Luke 11: 29-32
While still more people gathered in the crowd, Jesus said to them, "This generation is an evil generation; it seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it, except the sign of Jonah. Just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will the Son of Man be to this generation. At the judgment the queen of the south will rise with the men of this generation and she will condemn them, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and there is something greater than Solomon here. At the judgment the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation and condemn it, because at the preaching of Jonah they repented, and their is something greater than Jonah here."
Dawg's Thought:
Today's prayer intention - for the repose of the souls of Courtney and Sophie.
I praise You God ...
For my mouth that I may see You with words.
For my legs that I may pursue You.
For my arms that I may wade through the things of this world to find You.
For my free will to seek You.
In seeking You, I praise You God ...
For my eyes that can behold Your beauty and truth.
For my arms that can receive Your gifts.
For my ears that can hear Your merciful words.
For my free will to receive You.
Let us not be a generation that gives up pursuing You,
but rather may we be a generation that seeks You,
not because we desire to be a part of great works.
Rather, because we are humbled by Your greatness.
Indeed, Lord, there is something greater than Jonah.
Indeed, Lord, there is something greater than the queen of the south.
Lord, give us the grace so that we may not merely be spectators,
but rather children made in the image and likeness of a God
Who became incarnate so that we may share eternity with You.
I praise You God!
Take care and God Bless.
