Mark 4: 21-25

Jesus said to his disciples, "Is a lamp brought in to be placed under a bushel basket or under a bed, and not to be placed on a lampstand? For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible; nothing is secret except to come to light. Anyone who has ears to hear ought to hear." He also told them, "Take care what you hear. The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you, and still more will be given to you. To the one who has, more will be given; from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention - for those who are unemployed.

There are those who do not have. There are those who do not have the means to pay for the essentials like food and shelter. There are those who do not have a clean bill of health. There are those who do not have the wealth of family and friends.

It is cruel to think about those who do not have having even less.

Yet, to the one who is hungry ... they have the opportunity to grow in richness in trusting in God. They have the opportunity to grow in richness of prayer and offering sacrifice.

Don't we all have that opportunity, regardless of whether we are rich or poor?

If this is the case, then isn't our current situation an opportunity to grow in faith? Each moment of our lives are a gift from God that will be an opportunity for us to grow in trust and faith in Him. Each situation is an opportunity to be a light in this world, whether in your richness you can bring food to someone who goes without, or in your poverty you offer Christ's love to those who suffer alongside you.

If God has given you a hardship to bear this day, know that in the suffering He is giving you more than you have to offer.

Let faith in You increase in me, Lord.

Take care and God Bless.
