Tuesday in the Fourth Week of Advent
Luke 1: 39-45

Mary set out in those days and traveled to the hill country in haste to a town of Judah, where she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, "Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled."

Dawg's Thought:

Today's prayer intention - for those who are traveling for Christmas.

First of all, I want to apologize for missing the past few days. It is a good reminder for me that at times I can get too busy.

I am at a point in my life where I am hoping to have what the infant in Elizabeth's womb has. There are many questions in my heart, and I am seeking that moment when my heart will be filled with the joy of the child in Elizabeth's womb.

The child in the womb leaping for joy reminds me that there is hope in encountering Christ. There is hope in finding the Joy of my heart, and He comes in the womb of His mother.

Although the child couldn't see Christ, he knew that He was there and proclaimed that God is among us. This is the hope that we need to strive for! I may not see God, and I may not even hear His voice, but I know that He is there ... the Joy of my heart.

May the desires of our hearts never lose hope,
for the Joy of our hearts is among us,
though we cannot see Him and hear Him.
Therefore, let us ask the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
St. Elizabeth and St. John the Baptist
for the faith, hope, and love to persevere
until we will one day be before Our Lord,
the Joy of our hearts,
face to face.

Take care and God Bless.
