Tuesday of the Third Week of Easter
John 6: 30-35

The crowd said to Jesus: "What sign can you do, that we may see and believe in you? What can you do? Our ancestors ate manna in the desert, as it is written:
He gave them bread from heaven to eat."

So Jesus said to them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave the bread from heaven; my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."

So they said to Jesus, "Sir, give us this bread always." Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst."

Dawg's Thought:

Today's prayer intention - for those who are unemployed or underemployed.

The more I knew about my grandmother, the more I respected her. She did a lot of great things. She took in children who lost their parents. She advocated for improvements in her neighborhood. She was faithful to her marriage despite many trials.

She did these things despite not having a wealth of money. She did these things from her poverty.

She could barely speak English, but it didn't matter because I could always see how loving she was.

A few years ago, I went to visit her house in the Philippines. As I walked through the house, I knew that she was a devout woman to the faith. She had a great devotion to Our Blessed Mother. It made a lot of sense because I could see that she lived a life that was faithful to Our Lord.

When we see these great things in people it should remind us about how great Our Lord is. We know that Our Lord takes in the orphaned. We know that Our God advocated for us through His sacrifice. We know that Our Lord is faithful despite our unfaithfulness.

It is good to recognize the goodness of others, and in recognizing their goodness, know that this goodness comes from God Who desires good things for us. Take care and God Bless.
