John 6: 37-40
Jesus said to the crowds: "Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and I will not reject anyone who comes to me, because I came down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me. And this is the will of the one who sent me, that I should not lose anything of what he gave me, but that I should raise it on the last day. For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I shall raise him on the last day."
Dawg's Thought:
Today's prayer intention - for the repose of the soul of Antonina Salvacion.
As Jesus endured mockery on the cross, a thief turned to Him and asked, "Jesus, remember me when you come into Your kingdom."
At that moment, the thief became one who saw the Son and believed in Him, and he received His reward.
Today is the day that we remember and pray that Jesus remembers our loved ones. The thought of the mortality of our loved ones should also awaken our desire to be where Jesus is. If we want our loved ones to be with Christ, that should be our goal as well.
The passing of our loved ones should be a reminder to us that we are only a breath away from our own judgement. So, at every moment, let us keep in mind the humility of the thief who received the reward of eternal life ...
"Jesus, remember me what You come into Your kingdom."
Take care and God Bless.
