Wednesday in the Third Week of Advent
Luke 7: 18b-23

At that time, John summoned two of his disciples and sent them to the Lord to ask, "Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?" When the men came to the Lord, they said, "John the Baptist has sent us to you to ask, 'Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?'" At that time Jesus cured many of their diseases, sufferings, and evil spirits; he also granted sight to many who were blind. And Jesus said to them in reply, "Go and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind regain their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the good news proclaimed to them. And blessed is the one who takes no offense at me."

Dawg's Thought:

Today's prayer intention - for the repose of the soul of Grandpa Brown.

Are You the One?

Are You the One who invited me into Your family through the cleansing waters of baptism? Are You the One who gives Your Body and Your Blood in the Eucharist? Are You the One who forgives my sins in the Sacrament of Reconciliation?

Are You the One who others have given their lives for? Are You the One who appeared to the first martyr, Stephen, as he was being stoned to death Are You the One who inspired St. Maximilian Kolbe to take the place of a man who was about to be starved to death in the Nazi concentration camp? Are You the One who inspired Blessed Pope John Paul II to continue to serve when he was weak and frail?

Are You the One who invites me to spend my Sundays with You? Are You the One who I adore when others cannot see You? Are You the One who I receive when others want to diminish You?

Why do they diminish You? Why do they persecute You? Have they sought another?

Are You the One? I believe that You are the One. Take care and God Bless.
