John 6:30-35
The crowd said to Jesus: "What sign can you do, that we may see and believe in you? What can you do? Our ancestors ate manna in the desert, as it is written: He gave them bread from heaven to eat."
So Jesus said to them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave the bread from heaven; my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."
So they said to Jesus, "Sir, give us this bread always." Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst."
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for a special intention.
Like many, I'm trying to lose weight, so I'm watching what I eat. It's amazing how when you start watching what you're eating, you realize how much junk you've been putting into your body.
Jesus is our Bread of Life, but how often do we replace what He desires to give us with cheap substitutes? How often do we replace The Bread that will satisfy and quench our thirsts with the things that promise to satisfy us? In the end, these things only make us more hungry and more thirsty.
What are you feeding yourself with? What do you feed your eyes with? What do you feed your mind with? What are you feeding your soul with?
The Bread of Life, Jesus Christ, is Who your hunger is calling for. Take care and God Bless.
