Luke 18:35-43
As Jesus approached Jericho a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging, and hearing a crowd going by, he inquired what was happening.
They told him, "Jesus of Nazareth is passing by." He shouted, "Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me!" The people walking in front rebuked him, telling him to be silent, but he kept calling out all the more, "Son of David, have pity on me!" Then Jesus stopped and ordered that he be brought to him; and when he came near, Jesus asked him, "What do you want me to do for you?" He replied, "Lord, please let me see." Jesus told him, "Have sight; your faith has saved you." He immediately received his sight and followed him, giving glory to God. When they saw this, all the people gave praise to God.
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention: Earlier in the week I spoke with my mom about my Aunt Lisa and her recovery was going well. She came home from the hospital on Sunday and was recovering nicely. Everything seemed great for her recovery. I spoke with my mom today and how Lisa was doing and we received word today that the biopsy came back and it is Stage 4.
"Lord Jesus Christ, Son of The Living God, have mercy on me a sinner."
This prayer is a prayer many Christians have used as a meditation throughout their day. It's often repeated over a long duration of time known to bring peace. Reading today's reading, I can also see how this prayer can bring about healing, and ultimately, true joy. Take some time today to meditate on this simple prayer and come to know the joy Our Lord has in store for each of us. Take care and God Bless.
