Wednesday in the Third Week of Lent |
Matthew 5:17-19
Jesus said to his disciples: "Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place. Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in the Kingdom of heaven. But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments will be called greatest in the Kingdom of heaven."
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for a restoration of the dignity of the human person in all forms of art.
It seems so easy... Telling a little lie to protect a friend... Slacking off at work while you're still on the clock... Slandering someone who has something you want...
If St. Francis challenged us to preach the Gospel with our actions, then it could also work the opposite way. Your actions may be the only Gospel message they may have heard. What happens when they see you live a life contrary to the Gospel?
Today, preach the Gospel with your actions, and may everything you do be done in the name of The Father, and of The Son, and of The Holy Spirit. May The Most Holy Trinity be what others long to see. Take care and God Bless.
