1 Corinthians 2:1-5
When I came to you, brothers and sisters, proclaiming the mystery of God, I did not come with sublimity of words or of wisdom. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified. I came to you in weakness and fear and much trembling, and my message and my proclamation were not with persuasive words of wisdom, but with a demonstration of spirit and power, so that your faith might rest not on human wisdom but on the power of God.
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is in your anxieties for this day, that God grants you the grace to be thankful.
We all know that God is a merciful God.
If we turn to God, He will never forsake us. We must remember this in our struggles, and more importantly, we must remember this when we don't feel that we are struggling.
Satan doesn't want us to know this. Rather, Satan wants us put enmity between us and God, and this is done through the denial of Christ. Satan knows that a strong denial of Christ is to "extreme" for the average Christian. Rather, the slow temptation of pride is how we slowly deny Christ as Lord of Our Lives.
One realization that I came to this weekend was that I was having a hard time with a situation because I forgot to give thanks to God in the situation. Somewhere along the way, I forgot to acknowledge God in my heart. The only way we can be towards God is thankful because all things from Him are good. Being thankful to God in our struggles and in times of blessedness is important in my own life so that I can truly rest on the "power of God." Take care and God Bless.
