Mark 4:21-25

Jesus said to his disciples, "Is a lamp brought in to be placed under a bushel basket or under a bed, and not to be placed on a lampstand? For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible; nothing is secret except to come to light. Anyone who has ears to hear ought to hear." He also told them, "Take care what you hear. The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you, and still more will be given to you. To the one who has, more will be given; from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for those who are coping with the loss of a lost one.

"Mother Church earnestly desires that all the faithful should be led to that full, conscious, and active participation in liturgical celebrations, which is demanded by the very nature of the liturgy."
- Sacrosanctum Concilium (The Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy)

As Christians, we are all called to reveal Christ's light to all endowed with the dignity of human person, made in the image and likeness of Our Lord. How can we do this better in our own lives?

"Lex orandi, lex credendi" - What you pray is what you believe

In our own faith lives, we must remember the importance of our own prayer life in relation how we live. The start of today's reflection is a quote from "The Constitution of Sacred Liturgy." In that quote, we are called to "full, conscious and active participation" in the Most Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Our lives cannot be fully devoted to Our Lord if we are not fully devoted in our own prayer lives. We cannot be virtuous in our own lives if our prayer lives are not repentant of our failings. We cannot be a light to this world if we are not in communion with Our Lord.

If you want to grow in love of Our Lord, grow in obedience to prayer. If you want to give your lives "fully, consciously and actively" to Our Lord, pray "fully, consciously and actively." Take care and God Bless.
