Jeremiah 1: 4-10

In the days of King Josiah, the word of the LORD came to me, saying:

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I dedicated you,
a prophet to the nations I appointed you.

"Ah, Lord God!" I said,
"I know not how to speak; I am too young."
But the LORD answered me,
Say not, "I am too young."
To whomever I send you, you shall go;
whatever I command you, you shall speak.
Have no fear before them,
because I am with you to deliver you, says the LORD.

Then the LORD extended his hand and touched my mouth, saying,

See, I place my words in your mouth!
This day I set you
over nations and over kingdoms,
to root up and to tear down,
to destroy and to demolish,
to build and to plant.

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for all those who are seeking employment. In a special way we pray for Gloria Daniel.

I sit here, fearful of what I am going to say. I normally sit here fearful of what reflection will come out as I am typing.

Yet, as I begin typing, I am reminded that we are not to serve God out of our weakness, but through His strength. I am reminded that today is the day that we are all called to serve the Lord. Surrender does not occur in a future time when you know that everything will be better. There is no faith in that. Surrender comes when someone asks you a question regarding your faith. Surrender comes when you are faced with telling someone the truth, and you know that the truth will not be received well. Surrender comes when you are faced with forgiving someone who has hurt you.

We all have our fears, but we also have our faith.

We all have our limitations, but God has no limitations.

We all have our sinfulness, but God is merciful and will forgive.

May you always trust in God and know that God is with you as he calls you forth to serve Him. Take care and God Bless.
