Mark 3:7-12
Jesus withdrew toward the sea with his disciples. A large number of people followed from Galilee and from Judea. Hearing what he was doing, a large number of people came to him also from Jerusalem, from Idumea, from beyond the Jordan, and from the neighborhood of Tyre and Sidon. He told his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd, so that they would not crush him. He had cured many and, as a result, those who had diseases were pressing upon him to touch him. And whenever unclean spirits saw him they would fall down before him and shout, "You are the Son of God." He warned them sternly not to make him known.
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for artists to "create" art that points to the goodness of Our Lord!
What are struggling with?
The people in today's reading knew that something was wrong in their lives and they came. So much so that they went through the troubles of getting through the large crowds. So fervently that Christ feared He would be crushed. So humbly because they recognized their brokenness.
How often are our prayer lives like that? For me, it happens when I'm going through a really tough time and I have no answers. Suddenly, the prayers turn from "how good am I doing because I'm praying" to "I'm so weak I need to pray."
I don't know what you're struggling with today. I do know that I have a lot of struggles myself, and if you want to share your prayer intentions with me, I'll be more than happy to pray for you. Whatever your struggle are today, bring it to the wounds of Christ and pray fervently in your heart, "Jesus, I trust in You. Jesus, I trust in You. Jesus, I trust in You."
Take care and God Bless.
