Luke 10: 13-16

Jesus said to them, "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would long ago have repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you. And as for you, Capernaum, 'Will you be exalted to heaven? You will go down to the netherworld.' Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for children who suffer from abuse or neglect.

"I didn't know any better..."

I hate the fact that we have free will to ignore God's will for the sake of our own. Those are the times when we feel that something is missing. That is the time when we feel shame in the sight of The Lord because we have sinned.

When we look at Adam and Eve, what do we do when we sin? We hide. We were never meant to be a people created to hide. Of course, you can never hide from God, so the next tendency that we see from Adam and Eve is to place blame on somebody else except ourselves. We blame our situations, our family and friends, and even God Himself. We were not created for lies; we were created to love. We are created to love The Lord alone, and in loving The Lord, we are created to be obedient to Our Lord. We were not created to stand before God and shrug our shoulders saying, "I didn't know any better."

We know better. We have a Savior who came down from heaven who showed us that glory behind the suffering that comes with obedience. Jesus was obedient to the will of The Father alone, and in His obedience, He saved your soul. Your place in heaven is not yours to earn; your place in heaven is yours to lose. We know better, for we know The Truth. We know The Truth, for we know Jesus Christ. Take care and God Bless.
