Mark 3:22-30

The scribes who had come from Jerusalem said of Jesus, "He is possessed by Beelzebul," and "By the prince of demons he drives out demons."

Summoning them, he began to speak to them in parables, "How can Satan drive out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand; that is the end of him. But no one can enter a strong man's house to plunder his property unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can plunder his house. Amen, I say to you, all sins and all blasphemies that people utter will be forgiven them. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never have forgiveness, but is guilty of an everlasting sin." For they had said, "He has an unclean spirit."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for an increase in purity in our culture today, and especially in the arts.

I was given an assignment on Saturday to read and live out Psalm 34, which talks trusting in the Lord because of His goodness. The second verse reads, "I will bless the LORD at all times; praise shall be always in my mouth."

If we are to be united as The Body of Christ, we must be willing to show a united front "at all times," so that all glory and honor can be His. We glorify Our Lord through our obedience and our humility. More importantly, though, is the freedom and joy that comes through our obedience to Him and our humility through Him. It is only through union with Him true joy.

The alternative looks like so many things, but in the end, the alternative divides us. The alternative separates us from Him, and anything that separates us from Him is sin. We must always remember that the evil one wants to hurt Our Lord and Our God through us. His sinful ways are the result of his prideful disobedience. If we are to be in eternal union with Him, we must choose to be in union with Him now through our obedience. In choosing to be with Him, we will find true joy in Him. Take care and God Bless.
