Matthew 18:12-14

Jesus said to his disciples: "What is your opinion? If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine in the hills and go in search of the stray? And if he finds it, amen, I say to you, he rejoices more over it than over the ninety-nine that did not stray. In just the same way, it is not the will of your heavenly Father that one of these little ones be lost."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for the conversion of souls we are praying for this week.

When I was in elementary school, I never thought of myself as someone who could do anything. It changed in the third grade.

My third grade teacher believed in me so much that she had me apply for the gifted program at the school I was at. I never made it in (she told me it was because I was too messy... at least in my mind I know where everything is at...) A year later, I received an award for writing at my school and she was the one who gave me the award. As I went up to receive it, she looked me in the eyes and said, "you deserve this."

I will never forget her and I will never forget the lessons she taught me. Just that confidence in having someone believe in you made a tremendous difference in how I approach things even today.

Today's reading is an affirmation for each of us. Through Jesus Christ, we all have the opportunity to be with Our Lord in heaven. Through Jesus Christ, we know that we are loved. Take care and God Bless.
