Wednesday in the Sixth Week of Easter |
John 16:12-15
Jesus said to his disciples: "I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now. But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth. He will not speak on his own, but he will speak what he hears, and will declare to you the things that are coming. He will glorify me, because he will take from what is mine and declare it to you. Everything that the Father has is mine; for this reason I told you that he will take from what is mine and declare it to you."
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for the father of a friend of mine whom they found 2 tumors in last week.
Cliffhangers. Over the summertime, there are going to be millions of people who are anxiously awaiting the resolution to these "cliffhangers".
Today's reading reminded me of a good cliffhanger. It's a good thing because we know that the season is not over. In fact, it's just the opposite: a new season is about to begin with new trials and new characters.
It's the same in our lives: The Holy Spirit wants to lead us into new seasons and new episodes. In my own life today, I'm in a completely new season than I was when Lent started. He is leading me into new episode where I'm learning even more about my own "fallen nature" and I'm discovering more ways I need to be purified. It's humbling, but in all things, it's also an opportunity to praise God, which we can do through the promptings of The Holy Spirit.
Today, welcome the new episode that God has for you today and remember that the trials we may be facing now will have a resolution through Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior. Take care and God Bless.
