Mark 7:31-37
Jesus left the district of Tyre and went by way of Sidon to the Sea of Galilee, into the district of the Decapolis. And people brought to him a deaf man who had a speech impediment and begged him to lay his hand on him. He took him off by himself away from the crowd. He put his finger into the man's ears and, spitting, touched his tongue; then he looked up to heaven and groaned, and said to him, "Ephphatha!" (that is, "Be opened!") And immediately the man's ears were opened, his speech impediment was removed, and he spoke plainly. He ordered them not to tell anyone. But the more he ordered them not to, the more they proclaimed it. They were exceedingly astonished and they said, "He has done all things well. He makes the deaf hear and the mute speak."
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for the the continued recovery of the gulf states.
Those who have experienced the goodness of God cannot help but proclaim it, and more will come.
I heard a priest speak a while back and he talked about how back in these days, one person spoke and thousands were converted. Today, thousands of words cannot even bring one conversion. We can blame the distractions of the world, but his challenge to those who heard him speak was even greater.
"You cannot give what you do not have."
We cannot offer the goodness of Christ if we do not have Him. One of the biggest things he proclaimed is that Christians must return to The Bible! The more we have Christ, the more we can share Christ. The more we open our hearts to Him, the more we can radiate Him.
Praise God! Take care and God Bless.
