Matthew 13:47-53
Jesus said to the disciples: "The Kingdom of heaven is like a net thrown into the sea, which collects fish of every kind. When it is full they haul it ashore and sit down to put what is good into buckets. What is bad they throw away. Thus it will be at the end of the age. The angels will go out and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth."
"Do you understand all these things?" They answered, "Yes." And he replied, "Then every scribe who has been instructed in the Kingdom of heaven is like the head of a household who brings from his storeroom both the new and the old." When Jesus finished these parables, he went away from there.
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for those with depression.
In the end, not a lot of things will matter. The fact that I'm a Mac user won't matter. The fact that I went over my calorie count for today won't matter.
Do I live a life relying on God's mercy and grace? Do I live a life knowing that hell is real and it is through Christ that we will be saved? Do I live a life in imitation of Our Lord?
In the end, my little obsessions won't matter. In the end, I pray that I may die a happy death, the the grace to endure the final trial. Hell is real and I pray that Christ may save me. I pray that everyday I am aware of this, for I do not know the time nor the place that The Father will call me.
Pray for the grace this day for a happy death to endure the final trial. Take care and God Bless.
