Matthew 7:1-5
Jesus said to his disciples: "Stop judging, that you may not be judged. For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you. Why do you notice the splinter in your brother's eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove that splinter from your eye,' while the wooden beam is in your eye? You hypocrite, remove the wooden beam from your eye first; then you will see clearly to remove the splinter from your brother's eye."
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for Grace Zerangue, who is suffering from organ failure, and for her loved ones.
I'm one of those people who loves to give out advise (must be the male "I need to fix it" complex). The thing about advise is that it comes from external experience (watching, hearing, reading) or observation.
I can tell someone that we "heard" that someone lost 30 lbs. on the Atkin's diet in a month and a half, or I could tell you that I lost 30 lbs. on the Atkin's diet in a month and a half. Which statement would cause you to listen? Which statement would open your heart to the advise?
The best testimony we can give to the saving power of God is to allow ourselves to be humble enough to know that we have sins we need to be saved from. That way, we can truly tell others about the awesomeness of God. Take care and God Bless.
