Friday in the Second Week in Advent
Isaiah 48: 17-19

Thus says the LORD, your redeemer,
the Holy One of Israel:
I, the LORD, your God,
teach you what is for your good,
and lead you on the way you should go.
If you would hearken to my commandments,
your prosperity would be like a river,
and your vindication like the waves of the sea;
Your descendants would be like the sand,
and those born of your stock like its grains,
Their name never cut off
or blotted out from my presence.

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for the Advent retreat at St. Thomas.

--
Infant, Salvation of infants, have mercy on us.
Infant, Expectation of the just, have mercy on us.
--

"I'll give you $10 to mow the lawn..."

"I'll give you Allen Iverson for Tim Duncan..."

"I'll bless you abundantly if you 'hearken to my commandments'..."

God interacts with us. We know that God wants to be with us. He gave us His life and we in turn are called to give our lives to Him. A while ago, I remember something that we said to me in adoration:

"Your life is not meant for you. Your life is meant for ME." - God

In this season of preparation, we must always be mindful of the sacrifices we need to make in order to be with Our Lord. We must always be mindful of the blessings of being with Our Lord. We must remain thankful for all blessings and repentant for those times when we do not hold up our end of the bargain. Take care and God Bless.
