Luke 11: 1-4
Jesus was praying in a certain place, and when he had finished, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray just as John taught his disciples." He said to them, "When you pray, say:
Father, hallowed be your name,
your Kingdom come.
Give us each day our daily bread
and forgive us our sins
for we ourselves forgive everyone in debt to us,
and do not subject us to the final test."
Dawg's Thought:
Today's prayer intention - for my mom.
I recently got a ticket because I "rolled" through an "orange" light (that may have been closer to a "blood orange" than your typical "OJ" orange).
Thankfully, it had been a few years since I went to traffic school so I have the option of going to traffic school. It brings me back to the whole point of traffic school: to help drivers remember the rules of the road.
Sometimes, I need a reminder in regards to Who it is I am praying to. It is easy to get caught up in so many wonderful prayers ... so many of life's challenges ... so many red lights in life. It's always good to get back to the basics.
It's easy to forget who we are in our relationship to Our Father. It's easy to forget that it is His providence through which we have our daily bread and forgiveness. It's easy to forget that when we pray, we speak to the Beginning and the End.
Lord, I praise You for teaching us to pray just as John taught His disciples!
Take care and God Bless.
