Mark 4:21-25

Jesus said to his disciples, "Is a lamp brought in to be placed under a bushel basket or under a bed, and not to be placed on a lampstand? For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible; nothing is secret except to come to light. Anyone who has ears to hear ought to hear." He also told them, "Take care what you hear. The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you, and still more will be given to you. To the one who has, more will be given; from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for an end to the hostage situation at the Arizona prison near Buckeye, Arizona (http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/0129prison-main29.html).

As we grow closer to Our Lord, we must always be mindful of true humility versus false humility. Today's reading points us to true humility: recognizing that all that we have is from God, and in recognizing that all is from Him, we use all that we have from Him to give glory to Him.

To those who are willing to give glory to God, the more they will humbled in the sight of the Lord. The more they are humbled, the more they will find joy. The more they find true joy, the more they will give glory to God.

Therefore, brother and sisters, let us glorify God in all that we do, especially in times of darkness. Let us not be afraid of the darkness, but rather run towards the darkness, and use our gifts to glorify Him in areas of darkness.

"My soul will glory in the LORD that the poor may hear and be glad. "

Your faith is useless if you are unwilling to proclaim the Gospel to poor in spirit. It is those who hide their faith that their faith will be taken away from them. *The poor need to hear this message!* The world needs to hear how good God is so that we can all become one great "Alleluia!" Let us all be on fire for the Lord, for I am tired of living in complacency. I want to get to heaven, I want you to get there as well. Let us proclaim the Gospel to the poor. Take care and God Bless.
