Luke 8:16-18

Jesus said to the crowd: "No one who lights a lamp conceals it with a vessel or sets it under a bed; rather, he places it on a lampstand so that those who enter may see the light. For there is nothing hidden that will not become visible, and nothing secret that will not be known and come to light. Take care, then, how you hear. To anyone who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he seems to have will be taken away."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for Alfonso Castillo, as he embarks on his pilgrimage in Europe.

There was a time when I was unemployed and I thought to myself, "What can I give to You, God? I have nothing to give!" Yet, there was that give: my own struggle.

Tithing and giving our gifts and talents to Our Lord is important, but we also have other gifts that we may never think about that may not exactly be a "lamp" but can help us grow closer to "The Light" if we are humble enough to let it go. That is a way that we can grow in our faith, and for that little glimpse of faith, even more will be given. Take care and God Bless.
