Matthew 11:28-30
Jesus said: "Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light."
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for the soul of Becky Most, who passed away one year ago tomorrow.
How is your yoke feeling today? Right now, I wish I chose a different one. It seems like pride is really weighing me down at this moment, and because of this, I am growing so tired trying to carry this yoke around. I would love to put this yoke down, but unfortunately I'm stuck because my pride won't let go of this yoke called "pride" (a "catch 22" if you will).
Hopefully, I can go shopping today for a new yoke. I hear that there is a yoke that seems to be working for a lot of people: obedience. While I know that this yoke is very hard to find, I also know that because it is so rare, it also is a yoke that is a true treasure.
Somehow, knowing about this yoke has already made me feel better. I'm looking forward to carrying this new yoke. Take care and God Bless.
Quick Note: I'm out of town tomorrow so I'll be unable to send out a reading. If you are interested in sending out a reading and reflection tomorrow, please contact me so that I can send you the administrative information. Thank you so much.
