John 1:29-34

John the Baptist saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. He is the one of whom I said, 'A man is coming after me who ranks ahead of me because he existed before me.' I did not know him, but the reason why I came baptizing with water was that he might be made known to Israel." John testified further, saying, "I saw the Spirit come down like a dove from the sky and remain upon him. I did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, 'On whomever you see the Spirit come down and remain, he is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.' Now I have seen and testified that he is the Son of God."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention: Please find enclosed the wedding invitation of our son Pravin. Please pray on that day specially for Pravin and Tessie.

John the Baptist, considered to be the greatest prophet to herald the coming of Jesus Christ, is an amazing example to me. He is amazing because of the humility that he has throughout the Gospels.

He, like Our Blessed Mother, always points to Jesus Christ because they know Who Christ is. In knowing Who Christ is, they come to know who they are in the light of Christ.

We come to know who we are through our interactions with others as well. But, what is our interaction with Christ? What can we find out about ourselves? How can we become better prophets to humbly letting Christ change us?

It is something we can ponder everyday: how are we allowing Christ to change us today? How are we pointing to Christ in our everyday lives so that we can become the person God created us to be? Take care and God Bless.

PS - I have been getting a few emails regarding these readings and how they aren't receiving them. Please send me an email if you are getting these readings so that I can spend some time troubleshooting this issue. Thanks.
