1 Samuel 24:17-21
When David finished saying these things to Saul, Saul answered, "Is that your voice, my son David?" And Saul wept aloud. Saul then said to David: "You are in the right rather than I; you have treated me generously, while I have done you harm. Great is the generosity you showed me today, when the LORD delivered me into your grasp and you did not kill me. For if a man meets his enemy, does he send him away unharmed? May the LORD reward you generously for what you have done this day. And now, I know that you shall surely be king and that sovereignty over Israel shall come into your possession."
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for women who received an abortion, that they may experience healing and that treat them with mercy and compassion.

The Humble Will Be Exalted
It is amazing to see the mercy of David in the sight of his persecutor. This is the mercy that Our Lord gives to each of us in our sins, and this is the mercy that Our Lord calls us to have toward each other.
Unfortunately, we cannot even be merciful with ourselves, let alone being merciful to others. We must be willing to accept God's mercy by becoming humble, returning to Our Lord, and confessing our sins. Only the humble can truly admit their sin, and only the humble can be healed from their sinfulness.
In your actions today, know that Our Lord is merciful and receive His mercy. As you have received mercy, show that mercy to others with humility and grace. Take care and God Bless.
