Matthew 8: 1-4
When Jesus came down from the mountain, great crowds followed him. And then a leper approached, did him homage, and said, "Lord, if you wish, you can make me clean." He stretched out his hand, touched him, and said, "I will do it. Be made clean." His leprosy was cleansed immediately. Then Jesus said to him, "See that you tell no one, but go show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses prescribed; that will be proof for them."
Dawg's Thought:
Today's prayer intention - for an end to abortion and the use of contraception.
Lord, if You wish, you can make me clean
for though on the outside I may not seem like I need cleansing,
inside, I am in need of Your healing.
A multitude of thoughts eats away
at the desire for The Father's will to be done in my life
as leprosy eats away at the flesh.
I am fatigued with the many trials of the day
as the many sores of a leper makes him weary.
Lord, if You wish, and only if You wish.
I trust in Your dominion over all things.
I trust in Your dominion over me.
So, Lord, I approach, O King of Kings!
My Lord and My God, I humble subject myself to Your care.
O Divine Physician, You can make me clean,
and only through You can I be clean.
Let it be done according to Your word.
Take care and God Bless.
