Matthew 7: 1-5
Jesus said to his disciples: "Stop judging, that you may not be judged. For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you. Why do you notice the splinter in your brother's eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove that splinter from your eye,' while the wooden beam is in your eye? You hypocrite, remove the wooden beam from your eye first; then you will see clearly to remove the splinter from your brother's eye."
Dawg's Thought:
Today's prayer intention - Today's prayer intention is for the restoration of the dignity of art.
Lord Jesus Christ,
Whom carried the wooden beam on which you hung in your time of glory,
I ask that you carry the beam out of my eye
that blinds me into slavery.
I do not pray this so that I may be better than my neighbor,
or so that I can accuse my neighbor,
but so that I can love my neighbor.
Lord, my neighbor needs Your grace,
and the only way that I can help him is through You.
Lord, I need Your grace,
and I desire to be an instrument of Your grace.
I place on Your shoulders the wooden beam of my sinfulness
so that I can proclaim Your goodness
and so that I can love my neighbor.
My neighbor experiences suffering just like me.
Lord, I do not say this to judge, but rather to love.
Take care and God Bless.
