Romans 4:20-25

Brothers and sisters: Abraham did not doubt God's promise in unbelief; rather, he was empowered by faith and gave glory to God and was fully convinced that what God had promised he was also able to do. That is why it was credited to him as righteousness. But it was not for him alone that it was written that it was credited to him; it was also for us, to whom it will be credited, who believe in the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead, who was handed over for our transgressions and was raised for our justification.

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for those who are traveling.

I wish I was a "Giving-Glory-to-God" machine, but sometimes I run into some maintenance issues.

There's a GI2G (versus a DIY) manual that I sometimes look at, and it seems that St. Paul today references the early part of the manual to emphasize that "doubt" sometimes throws a wrench into the "Giving-Glory-to-God" machine. It mostly comes in the form of little anxieties which draw me away from the "giving" aspect of the "GG2G" machine. Isn't it the little issues that can slowly stack up into major ones!

Praise God that we can look at wonderful Old and New Testament examples of God's fidelity to us! Look at Abraham, our father in faith! Look at St. Paul who brought the Gospel to the western world. We can go into a whole litany of praise for every person who has gone before us testifying to God's goodness because of their faith! Of course, that would be a very long email, but who has been a good example of faith in your life? Old Testament? New Testament? Saints? Relatives? Friends? Take some time today to give thanks to God for their example. Take care and God Bless.
