John 1: 45-51

Philip found Nathanael and told him, "We have found the one about whom Moses wrote in the law, and also the prophets, Jesus son of Joseph, from Nazareth." But Nathanael said to him, "Can anything good come from Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see." Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said of him, "Here is a true child of Israel. There is no duplicity in him." Nathanael said to him, "How do you know me?" Jesus answered and said to him, "Before Philip called you, I saw you under the fig tree." Nathanael answered him, "Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel." Jesus answered and said to him, "Do you believe because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than this." And he said to him, "Amen, amen, I say to you, you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man."

Dawg's Thought:

Today's prayer intention - for fortitude for each of you in this time of trial.

This morning, was there a moment when you offered a little prayer to God? When you saw what as ahead in your day, did you say a prayer like, "Lord, please help me today"? Have you ever muttered, "God, please show me Your will"? Did you ever think about your bank account and say, "Lord, I know You provide; help me know this now"?

God sees us; God knows us.

God sees us in our poverty and knows the glory He has in store for us. God sees us in our weakness and knows how He will Himself out of it. God sees us; God knows us.

We know that God sees us and knows us. We also know that God knows what we will see as well. Jesus revealed to Nathanael that he will see Christ in His glory.

Knowing that Christ is King and will be triumphant, we know that we will see Christ in His glory. If this is true, wouldn't we hope that we would be on the right side? Wouldn't we hope that seeing this vision would be our triumph as well? I would hate to think about what it would be like to see the triumph of Christ only to know that I would be eternally separated from Him.

Christ sees that there is a battle over you. Christ knows that there is a battle over you. Keep on praying and striving to be faithful and trust that God answers your prayers so that you too may be able to see God in His full glory. Take care and God Bless.
