Matthew 11: 20-24
Jesus began to reproach the towns where most of his mighty deeds had been done, since they had not repented. "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would long ago have repented in sackcloth and ashes. But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you. And as for you, Capernaum:
Will you be exalted to heaven?
You will go down to the netherworld.
For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom on the day of judgment than for you."
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for the conversion of souls for those you know and love.
Repent:
1. To feel pain, sorrow, or regret, for what one has done or omitted to do.
2. To change the mind, or the course of conduct, on account of regret or dissatisfaction.
3. To be sorry for sin as morally evil, and to seek forgiveness; to cease to love and practice sin.
None of us are without sin. The first thought that came to mind was that we need to continue to preach the Good News of the Lord so that God will be merciful to those who we love.
Will God be merciful with you?
We must take the mirror and look at ourselves and know that repentance is not a one time thing. We must recognize that we sinners and we must constantly seek reconciliation with Our Lord. I pray for you this day. Please pray for me as well. Take care and God Bless.
