Matthew 11: 28-30
Jesus said: "Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light."
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for the souls of Becky and Bill Most, and for those who mourn their passing.
Our lives are a struggle, brothers and sisters. There are so many trials we go through in this life. Some trials are things that are out of our control, while others are self-inflicted.
Regardless of the trials that you are going through, "Come to Jesus and He will give you rest."
I know many people who are going through some hard trials, but we must remain strong in our prayer lives, rooted in scripture and reliant upon the sacraments. We must stay connected to community; we must remain active in The Church. We must always pursue Jesus above all other things, for Jesus cannot be taken away from us. Jesus cannot be taken away and Jesus cannot be replaced.
Come to Our Lord, Jesus Christ, at all times. There will be times in your life of trials. There will be times in your life of blessings. Through all times, regardless of what you are struggling with or if you're not struggling at all, Jesus needs to be the main focus of your pursuit.
Through all things, brothers and sisters, stay rooted and centered in Christ. That is my prayer for you this morning. Take care and God Bless.
