Matthew 6: 19-23

Jesus said to his disciples: "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and decay destroy, and thieves break in and steal. But store up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor decay destroys, nor thieves break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.

"The lamp of the body is the eye. If your eye is sound, your whole body will be filled with light; but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be in darkness. And if the light in you is darkness, how great will the darkness be."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for those who serve the Lord through vows of chastity, poverty and obedience.

I've been in this mood lately to get my life in order. I have been looking into some investment plans and I want to get your opinion on the different stock options that are available.

The first plan that I'm looking into is the "corporal" plan:

Feed the hungry
Give drink to the thirsty
Clothe the naked
Shelter the homeless
Visit the sick
Visit the imprisoned
Bury the dead

The good thing about this plan is flexibility. At certain times of during the plan, some of the options are at their peak. The bad thing is that when each of those options are at their peak, they need to be taken care of, but there in lies the beauty of the plan: it's never really up to you.

The second plan that I'm looking at is the "spiritual" plan:

Counsel the doubtful
Instruct the ignorant
Admonish the sinner
Comfort the sorrowful
Forgive injuries
Bear wrongs patiently
Pray for the living and the dead

This plan is similar to the first plan.

The good thing about these plans is that they both contribute to two different accounts: the "(earthly) welfare" account and the "(eternal) savings" account. So, you get double returns on your investment, which is more than I can say about usual stocks. With these stocks, you are guaranteed at least double your return on investment because these stocks are not dependent on the current economy.

If you want, we can both sign up for a no-risk, no money down trial. Most of these options don't even require any financial investment. There is some effort involved, but the return of investment far outweighs the minimal effort required for each of these options. So what are you waiting for? This is our limited time offer, so act now.

Take care and God Bless.
