1 Corinthians 4:1-5
Brothers and sisters: Thus should one regard us: as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Now it is of course required of stewards that they be found trustworthy. It does not concern me in the least that I be judged by you or any human tribunal; I do not even pass judgment on myself; I am not conscious of anything against me, but I do not thereby stand acquitted; the one who judges me is the Lord. Therefore, do not make any judgment before the appointed time, until the Lord comes, for he will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will manifest the motives of our hearts, and then everyone will receive praise from God.
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for those who will be affected by Hurricane Frances.
Hello servant of Christ, steward of the mystery of God...
What? Steward of the mystery of God?
What an awesome way to put it! We are all stewards of the mystery of God! Isn't that amazing! Others will come to know "the mystery of God" through us! Isn't that awesome!
Well, now that I think about it, isn't it an great responsibility? Doesn't that require that I need to constantly live my life rejoicing in the mystery of God? Doesn't that require that I strive for perfection through Christ?
Some people work harder to attain a job title. In our case, it's the opposite: we have our job title, and now it is time to live up to it. Rejoice, steward of the mystery of God! Take care and God Bless.
