John 15:9-11
Jesus said to his disciples: "As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and remain in his love.
"I have told you this so that my joy might be in you and your joy might be complete."
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for those who are unloved.
"... so that your joy might be complete."
I feel like the theme is redundant, but it's always worth mentioning: the way Jesus loved us was by being obedient.
We are called to experience joy through our obedience. This means obedience to suffering... obedience to responsibilities... obedience to all that we have been given. We experience joy by being obedient and giving everything we have back to the Lord. We experience joy by being obedient and trusting God through our every fear. We experience joy by being obedient in our call to love and pray for our enemies.
Let you joy be complete: be obedient to the Lord so that you remain in His love. Take care and God Bless.
ps: A quick prayer please - I was at Burger King yesterday and I realized that if you use your credit card, it posts the full credit card number, what type of card it is and the expiration date. A little scary. I left it on my desk yesterday, and in the mad rush to get out last night, I left it on my desk. It's not on my desk this morning (although other receipts are on my desk which scares me). Please pray that the information on that receipt has not been used. Oh, btw, pass the warning on to anyone who eats at Burger King that their receipts contain that information. Have a blessed day.
