Matthew 7:15-20
Jesus said to his disciples: "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but underneath are ravenous wolves. By their fruits you will know them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Just so, every good tree bears good fruit, and a rotten tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a rotten tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. So by their fruits you will know them."
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for those you know who are in need of healing.
I had a priest tell me once in confession that I need to fill myself up with prayer so that I could offer that to others.
I'm the type of person that does a lot of different things, which often leads me to neglect the things I should be doing in order to offer and bear "good fruit." Instead, I feel like many of my offerings are short on prayer because I have not mastered the art of saying "no". It's a struggle for me.
God calls us to bear good fruit. Let us be ground in Him, nourished by prayer and fasting, so that we may bear the fruit of The One Who is the Bearer of all good things. Take care and God Bless.
