Matthew 15:29-37
At that time: Jesus walked by the Sea of Galilee, went up on the mountain, and sat down there. Great crowds came to him, having with them the lame, the blind, the deformed, the mute, and many others. They placed them at his feet, and he cured them. The crowds were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the deformed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind able to see, and they glorified the God of Israel.
Jesus summoned his disciples and said, "My heart is moved with pity for the crowd, for they have been with me now for three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, for fear they may collapse on the way." The disciples said to him, "Where could we ever get enough bread in this deserted place to satisfy such a crowd?" Jesus said to them, "How many loaves do you have?" "Seven," they replied, "and a few fish." He ordered the crowd to sit down on the ground. Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, gave thanks, broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds. They all ate and were satisfied. They picked up the fragments left over - seven baskets full.
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for Rogelio Sison Adviento, who passed away 2 weeks ago, for the repose of his soul and for those who mourn his loss.

Infant, Son of the Virgin Mary, have mercy on us.
Infant, strong in weakness, have mercy on us.
Infant, powerful in tenderness, have mercy on us.

When Christ wanted to prove His humanity to the disciples after His resurrection, He asked them if they had anything to eat (I would do the same thing).
We see in today's reading that Christ meets the needs of our humanity and understands those needs. He is "Son of the Virgin Mary." He is knows the weakness of humanity. He is compassionate to our needs even though He is fully Divine. Christ, in His Incarnation, understands our needs and understands our desires.
We all have our own struggles. We all have our own weaknesses. We can all look to Christ in His weakness, and see how through His humility and meekness, He was strong and powerful. Christ is an example of how we should be in our own humanity. In today's reading, we see Christ meeting the needs of a multitude because He is compassionate their their struggles. Today, in your own struggles, know that Christ will meet every need, despite Satan's every attempt to instill fear in your hearts that your needs are foreign to God. Christ's humanity understands, and Christ's divinity provides. Take care and God Bless.
