Luke 12:35-38
Jesus said to his disciples: "Gird your loins and light your lamps and be like servants who await their master's return from a wedding, ready to open immediately when he comes and knocks. Blessed are those servants whom the master finds vigilant on his arrival. Amen, I say to you, he will gird himself, have them recline at table, and proceed to wait on them. And should he come in the second or third watch and find them prepared in this way, blessed are those servants."
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for healing for those suffering from cancer.
Avarice vs. Generosity (who the heck uses the word "avarice"?)
We all know that one day we will stand before Our Lord and we will give an account of how we have loved. We all know that when we stand before Him at the hour of our judgment, he will ask us how we have clothed Him, given Him food, visited Him in prison.
Today's reading tell us: "Blessed are those servants whom the master finds vigilant on his arrival." Will you be ready when The Lord asks of you to be generous and loving? Will you be ready when it comes time for you to serve?
We must always be generous and guard ourselves from greed. We must always look out for the fear that causes greed. The fear that says, "you will never have enough." Indeed, you will have enough to give when you are asked to give. Indeed, you will have more than enough to give thanks to Him for His generosity. Take care and God Bless.
