Monday in the Fourth Week in Advent
Luke 1: 13

The angel said to him, "Do not be afraid, Zechariah, because your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall name him John.

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for everyone who is sick at this time.

Today's Gospel reading is Luke 1: 5-25.

The first words proclaimed by the Angel Gabriel to both Mary and Zechariah is "Do not be afraid." One was made speechless, the other would watch her Son die on a cross.

We fear many things, especially suffering. God's message to each of us today is clear: Do not be afraid... in good times and in bad... sickness and in health... Do not be afraid. Take care and God Bless.
