John 14:27-31a
Jesus said to his disciples: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid. You heard me tell you, 'I am going away and I will come back to you.' If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father; for the Father is greater than I. And now I have told you this before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe. I will no longer speak much with you, for the ruler of the world is coming. He has no power over me, but the world must know that I love the Father and that I do just as the Father has commanded me."
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for those who are discerning priesthood or religious life, that God grant them peace during their discernment.
I normally look online to find out if there is a prayer intention I should include with today's reading. As I looked at the "sub" headlines, I saw that Miami was named the worst city for road rage and the 9/11 video of the Pentagon getting hit and killing 189 people was released.
We can look all around and see things that we have no control over it. There are people who are dying in wars between nations or between peers.
Christ leaves us His peace and His promise for us. Through Him, let your soul be at peace knowing that He desires you to be with Him in heaven. Take care and God Bless.
