Luke 13:18-21
Jesus said, "What is the Kingdom of God like? To what can I compare it? It is like a mustard seed that a man took and planted in the garden. When it was fully grown, it became a large bush and the birds of the sky dwelt in its branches."
Again he said, "To what shall I compare the Kingdom of God? It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed in with three measures of wheat flour until the whole batch of dough was leavened."
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for teens who face an incredible amount of pressure, that Christ may be their guide versus the world.
Often times, it seems that the prayers that we pray don't seem to be doing much.
Sure, we've heard of the expressions about God saying no or maybe. One thing that struck me with today's reading is how God uses small things. A little mustard seed provides enough provision for humans and the birds. Yeast made the bread multiply.
It is something that I struggle with: trusting God. If God can use a little mustard seed to provide for the birds of the air, how much more will He provide for you to become holy? Of course He wants to provide that for you!
Today, let us trust God with the little things that we have. Like St. Therese, let us do small things with great love. Take care and God Bless.
