Luke 19: 26-27

"I tell you, to everyone who has, more will be given, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. Now as for those enemies of mine who did not want me as their king, bring them here and slay them before me."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for those who are have lost loved ones this past year that God may grant them comfort.

(FYI: Today's reading is actually 11-28)

Tomorrow, most families will sit down with one another and list out the things that they are thankful for. (for the record, my family never did that; we just went ahead and ate)

As people are going through what they are thankful for, they'll think about the things that they have been given: family, friends, new job, new house, etc. I love hearing the little children as they are thankful for their parents, their siblings, and their toys.

Some people will think of loved ones they lost. Some will think about the material things that they have lost. Some will think about the things that they had to give up.

Whatever you're thankful for tomorrow, remember today's reading. Why? All things come from The Lord. It is He will wills us to have what we have and it is He Who wills us to not have other things out of His mercy.

As I have gone through this season, the constant theme of my life has been, "I want you to have the freedom to be who I created you to be." Today, let us give thanks to God for all the blessings, the trials and joys, that Our Lord and Our God allows so that we may be continually purified to be who God created us to be. Take care and God Bless.
