Ezekiel 36:23-28
Thus says the LORD:
I will prove the holiness of my great name,
profaned among the nations,
in whose midst you have profaned it.
Thus the nations shall know that I am the LORD, says the Lord GOD,
when in their sight I prove my holiness through you.
For I will take you away from among the nations,
gather you from all the foreign lands,
and bring you back to your own land.
I will sprinkle clean water upon you
to cleanse you from all your impurities,
and from all your idols I will cleanse you.
I will give you a new heart and place a new spirit within you,
taking from your bodies your stony hearts
and giving you natural hearts.
I will put my spirit within you and make you live by my statutes,
careful to observe my decrees.
You shall live in the land I gave your ancestors;
you shall be my people, and I will be your God.
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for my parents, who celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary yesterday, and for my brother, Trony, who celebrates his birthday today.
I guitar fell on the ground a while back, and the damage from that is still there. I'm still able to play the guitar, but I know that "restoring" the guitar back to where it used to be would be so much better. It would play better, it would sound better, and it would look better... it would be able to do the job it is suppose to do better.
Fortunately, guitars don't have free will. I can put my guitar in the shop at anytime and get it fixed. I can't say the same thing about myself. I have free will. I can choose to allow God to restore me or I can choose to remain faulty. Fortunately, we have a Master who can make all things new: Jesus Christ. Take care and God Bless.
