Isaiah 55:10-11
Thus says the LORD:
Just as from the heavens
the rain and snow come down
And do not return there
till they have watered the earth,
making it fertile and fruitful,
Giving seed to the one who sows
and bread to the one who eats,
So shall my word be
that goes forth from my mouth;
It shall not return to me void,
but shall do my will,
achieving the end for which I sent it.
Dawg's thought:
Today's prayer intention is for the repose of the soul of the mother of a friend of mine, A.J. Flores.
This morning's Gospel reading is when Jesus gives us the wonderful gift of the Our Father. It was a joy hearing it a mass this morning as the priest slowly spoke each line of a prayer we all know. It was wonderful for me to hear.
It also made today's first reading even more real. God's word has a purpose for each of us even if we've heard them a million times before. We must continue to draw strength from the scriptures as it takes root in each of our hearts. It truly is a grace from heaven. Take care and God Bless.
