Tuesday in the Second Week of Advent |
Matthew 18: 12-14
Jesus said to his disciples: "What is your opinion? If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine in the hills and go in search of the stray? And if he finds it, amen, I say to you, he rejoices more over it than over the ninety-nine that did not stray. In just the same way, it is not the will of your heavenly Father that one of these little ones be lost."
Dawg's Thought:
Today's prayer intention - for the repose of the souls of Julia Hillebrand and Edward Baston.
Right now, there are a lot of people who are caught up in the "Christmas" rush. Unfortunately, it has more to do with "purchasing" versus preparation for the soul. For those who have gone astray, Jesus came for you.
Right now, there are a lot of people who are caught up in financial hardships and they don't know how they're going to pay their bills, let alone get presents for their kids. For those who are lost in their suffering, Jesus came for you.
There are a lot of "distractions" that lead to us losing the way. I am lost as well, as I am extremely anxious about all the things that needs to be done in this month of December.
Jesus came for you so that we won't be lost. Beloved, rejoice and remember that finding the perfect present is not worth losing this opportunity to grow in holiness. It is you who is the perfect present for Our Lord. He rejoices in you.
Take care and God Bless.
