Luke 6:36-38

Jesus said to his disciples: “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

“Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.”

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for healing for those whom you are about.

"Psst. Eve. Hey look, it's me, the serpent. Hey, guess what? God hasn't given enough to you. You see, there's more than what God has given you. He doesn't love you because He's holding everything back from you. All you have to do is disobey Him and you will have all that you need..."

Just like Eve, I've fallen for the lies as well. Today's reading reminded me of the fears we have in being charitable. I've held back my tithe because I didn't think that God would give me enough. I've held back mercy and forgiveness because of various fears.

We are made in the image and likeness of God and one way we know God is the "Giver of All Good Gifts." I pray that we can be like Our Creator and give good gifts whether it's through our treasure or through our mercy. Take care and God Bless.
